Nine individuals tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision involving a truck and a passenger bus along the Ota-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun State.
The fatal accident occurred on Tuesday morning at Kere Bridge near Ewekoro, leaving seven others injured.
The vehicles involved were an unregistered truck and a passenger bus bearing the mark SMK 808 YD.

Anthony Ugah, the State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the accident in a statement issued by the command spokesperson, Chief Route Commander Florence Okpeh.
According to the FRSC commander, the crash was attributed to speeding and driving against traffic by one of the vehicles.
