A tragic incident unfolded in Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, where a shuttle bus driver, Philip Fiama, lost his life after a confrontation with a co-tenant, Ikem Emmanuel.

The incident, which occurred around 6:30 pm on Sunday, reportedly stemmed from Fiama accusing Emmanuel of having an affair with his wife.

During the confrontation, a fight ensued, and tragically, Emmanuel allegedly stabbed Fiama to death.

The victim, a native of Adamawa State, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a nearby hospital. The suspect, Ikem Emmanuel, fled the scene following the fatal altercation.

The Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that it was reported by a landlord from Sobande Close.

According to Odutola, the report indicated that Fiama accused Emmanuel of having a sexual relationship with his wife, leading to the deadly confrontation.

The deceased was pronounced dead at Tamara Hospital.

The police have initiated a search for the fleeing suspect, Ikem Emmanuel, whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for a thorough investigation.

Authorities are working diligently to apprehend the suspect and gather more information about the tragic incident.
