Boiling Point Arena is set to host a critical examination of the persistent conflicts between Governors and Deputy Governors in Nigeria, shedding light on the prevalent perception that the deputy governor’s position is often relegated to a secondary role.

The discussion, scheduled for Sunday, January 14, will be hosted on Zoom and Sweet 107.1 FM, featuring two political stalwarts as distinguished guest speakers.

The speakers include Prof Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, the former Ekiti State Deputy Governor under erstwhile Governor Ayo Fayose, and Dr Niran Malaolu, a former Information Commissioner in Ogun State and owner of Rockcity 101.9 FM.

The 15th edition of Boiling Point Arena, initiated by media professional Dr. Ayo Arowojolu, will center around the theme “The Relationship Between Roles of Governor and Deputy Governor in Nigeria’s Constitution – Rethinking The Conundrum in The State.”

The event, transmitted live by SWEET FM, is scheduled from 8 pm to 10 pm.

Adding regal weight to the conversation, Oba Prof Saka Matemilola, the highly respected Olowu of Owu Kingdom and Chairman of Boiling Point Council of Royals and Elders, will serve as the keynote speaker.
