A fatal accident occurred on Tuesday along the Abeokuta-Sagamu highway in Ogun State, resulting in one casualty.
The incident, reported by Saving Point Media, involved a lone accident around Nestle Roundabout at approximately 9 pm.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, indicating that it involved six individuals in a Highlander SUV with the registration number JJJ721JB.
According to Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for FRSC in Ogun State, the crash was attributed to a combination of a tire burst and speeding.

“A total of six persons were involved in a crash along Sagamu-Abeokuta Road, around Nestle Roundabout, at about 2100 hrs.
The six persons were all male adults; one was injured and unfortunately, one person died from the lone crash,” disclosed Okpe.
She further stated that the injured victim received medical attention at Idera Hospital, while the deceased’s body was taken away by family members.
The Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun, Anthony Uga, advised motorists to conduct routine checks on their vehicles and promptly address any detected defects to enhance road safety.
