The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, has called on all Nigerians to express love for and confidence in Nigeria, urging them to unite in the fight for the country’s peace and progress.
During a visit to ailing personnel at the Defence Headquarters Hospital in Abuja to celebrate Christmas and his birthday, Gen. Musa emphasized the importance of confronting challenges rather than fleeing.
He encouraged Nigerians to stay and confront challenges, highlighting that successful nations faced difficulties and overcame them by standing firm.
Gen. Musa stressed that running away is not a solution and cited the example of countries that faced challenges but remained and fought to achieve progress.

The Chief of Defence Staff emphasized that the security challenge in Nigeria is not solely the responsibility of the Armed Forces, police, or any individual.
He called for collective efforts, urging citizens to take ownership of the challenges facing the country.
Gen. Musa reiterated the need for public support, emphasizing that everyone has a role to play in ensuring Nigeria’s success.
During the hospital visit, Gen. Musa expressed his people-centric leadership concept, stating that the outreach aimed to ensure that both security agents and citizens felt the impact of shared love, especially in healthcare.
He underscored the importance of regularly checking on those in hospitals during celebratory periods and encouraged the patients to recover fully.
As part of the visit, Gen. Musa donated hampers and cash gifts to patients, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to such gestures as a regular practice.
The patients reciprocated by singing a birthday song for the Chief of Defence Staff, marking the occasion with words of encouragement and well-wishes.
