The leadership of the Nigerian Senate has announced the donation of N109 million, equivalent to the December salary of its members, to the victims of the accidental bombing in Tudun Biri village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The announcement was made during a sympathy visit to the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, by the Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, and other senators.
The accidental bombing, which occurred in Tudun Biri, resulted in the tragic loss of lives and injuries.
The Nigerian Army claimed responsibility for the incident.

The Senate expressed its condolences to the affected families and assured that it would thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the accidental bomb attack.
During the visit, Governor Uba Sani urged the senators to collaborate in advocating for justice and emphasized the need for a comprehensive investigation to hold those responsible accountable.
He also called for the creation of state police to enhance intelligence gathering and prevent similar incidents in the future.
The senators, including Senate Majority Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, Chief Whip Ali Ndume, and Senate Minority Leader Abba Morro, visited the Barrau Dikko Teaching Hospital, where victims of the accidental bombing are receiving medical attention.
