The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, expressed confidence on Wednesday that the APC in Anambra has a robust plan to secure victory in the next governorship, state, and National Assemblies elections.
Ganduje disclosed that the APC’s strategy for the political liberation of the South-East had received approval from President Bola Tinubu.
Addressing journalists after a closed-door meeting with key stakeholders, including Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, and former Anambra governorship candidates Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife, Ganduje outlined the party’s vision for the region.

Ganduje revealed that Tinubu had endorsed a blueprint for the political emancipation, intervention, and de-marginalization of the South-East within the APC.
He urged unity among party members and confidently predicted victories in various elections in Anambra, including the governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly.
Ganduje stated, “What we are simply telling you is that the South-East zone is coming into national politics, and the region will be dominated by the APC.”
Governor Uzodimma echoed Ganduje’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of using the APC as a platform to integrate the South-East into national politics.
He pledged efforts to ensure that all five states in the South-East region would be dominated by the APC.
The meeting included notable figures such as former Anambra South Senator Andy Uba, who recently defected to the APC.
Also present were former governorship candidates Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife, who joined the APC from other political parties.
The APC leaders expressed optimism and unity as they work towards political dominance in Anambra and the broader South-East geopolitical zone.
