In a significant development during the ongoing COP28 in Dubai, the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Government of Kuwait formally signed a bilateral air service agreement.
The signing ceremony, held at the Hilton Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, signifies a commitment to fostering international cooperation in aviation.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, expressed optimism about the agreement’s potential impact on diplomatic relations, emphasizing its role in enhancing connectivity and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Kuwait.

Keyamo highlighted the agreement’s capacity to boost trade, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
“The accord underscores the Federal Government’s dedication to expanding the nation’s global aviation footprint and creating opportunities for economic growth,” remarked Keyamo.
“The Federal Government remains committed to fostering strong ties with nations around the world, and the bilateral air service agreement with Kuwait is a testament to this commitment,” he added.
The agreement is expected to open new avenues for cooperation, reinforcing Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations on the international stage.
