The ongoing 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) organized by the National Examinations Council (NECO) for external candidates has seen the participation of no fewer than 74,819 candidates across the country.
This information was disclosed by Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO, during his monitoring visit to Government Science Secondary School Gombe, Gombe State.
Prof. Wushishi expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the candidates at the center and reported that the examination was proceeding smoothly across various centers nationwide.
He urged candidates to avoid examination malpractice, emphasizing that measures had been implemented to curb such practices.
The Registrar, currently on a nationwide monitoring tour, assured that NECO had taken necessary steps to ensure the seamless conduct of the examination.
The 2023 SSCE External commenced on November 20, 2023, and is scheduled to conclude on December 20, 2023.
Candidates are expected to sit for the examination in 29 different subjects.
