Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing it as bold and audacious, during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

Governor Abiodun noted that when President Tinubu assumed office, the country was in a near-comatose state.

According to the governor, Tinubu’s administration has achieved unprecedented feats and tackled challenges head-on.

Abiodun highlighted the bold steps taken by the President, including the deregulation of the petroleum industry to benefit Nigerians.

He stated, “Tinubu inherited an administration that was almost comatose. I believe this government is very bold and taking the bull by the horns. President Tinubu has been able to do what no president has ever been able to do in the history of Nigeria.”

Governor Abiodun urged Nigerians to exercise patience and expressed confidence in the ability of the Tinubu-led administration to address the country’s challenges.

He emphasized President Tinubu’s experience as a former governor, senator, and accountant, highlighting the administration’s dedication to turning the economy around.

“You know our President, besides being a former governor and a senator, he is also an accountant. So, he is someone who is very spot on, and all hands are on deck to turn this economy around. We are very hopeful, and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel,” the governor added.

This statement comes a few days after the Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, acknowledged the challenges inherited by the Tinubu administration, describing the economy as a “dead horse.”

Soludo emphasized the need for Nigerians to understand the difficult economic conditions faced by the current government.

Earlier this month, during negotiations for an infrastructure loan in Saudi Arabia, President Tinubu acknowledged inheriting substantial fiscal and infrastructure deficits.

The administration aims to address these challenges as part of its commitment to the All Progressives Congress party’s agenda.
