The Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal on Friday, upheld the election victory of Francis Nwifuru as the legitimately elected governor of Ebonyi State in the March 18 governorship election.

Presided over by Justice Jummai Sankey, a three-member panel unanimously dismissed the appeal brought forth by Chukwuma Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The panel not only resolved all five issues raised against the appellant but also deemed the appeal lacking in merit.
