The Isale Gbokoto Traditional Council has announced the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba G.A Olukunle, the Asale of Gbokoto Isale Ketu in Ogun State.
Oba Olukunle peacefully joined his ancestors on August 12, 2024, at the age of 77.
In a statement released by the Aremo Olayode Williams on behalf of the Isale Traditional Council, the late monarch was described as a peace-loving, progressive leader and a bridge builder who dedicated his life to the development of his community.

“It is with a heavy heart but with appreciation for his purposeful life and reign that we announce the passing of our Royal Majesty, Oba G.A Olukunle, the Asale of Gbokoto Isale Ketu. He joined the ancestors on August 12, 2024, at the ripe age of 77,” the statement read.
Traditional rites have commenced following his passing, and the Council has advised the public to be mindful of their movements around the area during this period.
The Isale Gbokoto community mourns the loss of their revered ruler, whose legacy of peace and progress will be remembered for years to come.
