The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has confirmed the arrest of a suspect accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in the Alakuko area of Lagos.
In a statement released on X.com on Friday, the agency announced that it is working closely with the Lagos State Police Command to thoroughly investigate the case.
They also assured the public that the survivor is receiving comprehensive medical care, while the suspect remains in police custody.

The agency expressed gratitude to those who brought the incident to their attention, stating, “We appreciate everyone who brought the tragic incident of child sexual abuse in Alakuko, Lagos to our attention.”
They added, “We are working with the #LagosPoliceNG in investigating the case. The survivor is receiving comprehensive medical care, and the suspect is currently in police custody. More details to follow.”
This confirmation follows a report on Monday, which detailed that a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her landlord’s son in Alakuko, Lagos.
